GABRIELLE EVA MARIE CAILLE (née MARTEL) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Mémère and sister, Gabrielle Eva Marie Caille (née Martel), on Friday, January 22, 2016 at the De Salaberry District Health Centre, St-Pierre-Jolys. She leaves to mourn her children, Patrick, Christine (Raymond), Denis (Debbie); grandchildren, Catherine (Gérald), René, Richard, Dustin, Danielle, David; and one great-grandson Nico. She also leaves to mourn her sisters, Rolande Wilcott, Marie (Norbert) Neveux, Georgette (Paul) Fontaine; one brother Richard (Alice) Martel; sisters-in-law, Elva Martel, Monique (Jean-Jacques) Debadier, Francoise Caille and Nicole Himpe. She was predeceased by her husband Gérard; parents, Henri and Laura Martel; parents-in-law, Maurice and Madeleine Caille; brothers, Charles, Ned and Maurice; brother-in-law Sylvio Wilcott; sisters-in-law, Bernadette, Patricia and Phyllis. Mom was a wonderful host, who always ensured you had a drink in your hand and a snack on the table. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time at her sanctuary, the cottage she loved so much. We would like to express our gratitude to the home care staff at the St-Pierre Manor for all the help and kindness you provided. Mom really appreciated each and every one of you. To the Palliative care team, we thank you for your support in her final days at the manor and at the hospital. We wish to thank the staff at the Bethesda Hospital and mostly to the staff at the De Salaberry District Health Centre for your compassion, understanding, devotion and patience. You made her last days much easier for mom and for her family. To all Mom's, and our family and friends, we thank you for your support. In lieu of flowers, you are welcome to give to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in her honour. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Pierre Catholic Church. Elle laisse dans son deuil ses enfants Patrick, Christine (Raymond), Denis (Debbie), ses petits-enfants Catherine (Gérald), René, Richard, Dustin, Danielle et David, et un arrière petit-fils Nico. Elle laisse aussi ses soeurs, Rolande Wilcott, Marie (Norbert) Neveux, Georgette (Paul) Fontaine; un frère Richard (Alice) Martel et belles-soeurs Elva Martel, Monique (Jean-Jacques) Debadier, Francoise Caille et Nicole Himpe. Elle fut prédécédé par son époux Gérard, ses parents Henri et Laura Martel, ses beaux-parents Maurice et Madeleine Caille, ses frères Charles, Ned et Maurice, un beau-frère Sylvio Wilcott, ses belles soeurs Bernadette, Patricia et Phyllis. Mom aimait recevoir la visite et s'assurait que tous se sentaient bien reçu. Elle aimait sa famille et adorait passé du temps à son chalet qui était son sanctuaire. Nous remercions les employées de l'équipe soins à domicile du manoir St-Pierre-Jolys pour l'aide que vous avez donné à mom, ainsi que la charité que vous lui avez démontré. Maman vous a tous beaucoup apprécié. A l'équipe des soins palliatifs, un gros merci pour tout le support que vous nous avez donné. Ceci nous a rendu un très grand service. Nous aimerions remercier les employés de l'hôpital Bethesda et surtout du Centre medico-sociale De Salaberry à St-Pierre-Jolys pour votre patience, compassion, gentilesse et dévouement. Vous avez rendu les derniers jours à maman beaucoup plus paissible. Aux amis et membres de famille à maman, ainsi qu'à nous, un gros merci pour tout le support que vous nous avez fait témoins. Nous sommes très reconnaissant. Si vous voulez, au lieu de fleurs, un don à l'Action Cancer ou la Fondation des maladies du Coeur et de l'AVC pourrait être fait en son honneur.
