Daria was born in Grandview, Manitoba on March 29, 1977. She was the eldest of eight children being raised on the farm in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba. She received most of her education in Gilbert Plains finishing off her grade 12 at The Adult Education Center in Winnipeg. Education played an important part in her life, she always strived for more. I couldn't write a status about you. There was too much to say. I know I'm late. But Daria was so much more then everything people said. I wish that I got to know her more. And see her smile more. And hug her more. And told her thank you for everything she helped me with. I wish I could of held her hand more through this. And talked to her more. I thought just maybe she was going to beat this. That she was indestructible. And I still break down knowing she is gone. And I only knew her for 2 years. I can only imagine the people who knew her all her life and the family also. I can only feel a fraction of what they feel. Daria not a day goes by I don't think about your shining smile. And your beautiful heart. You deserved so much more time then you were given. I love you. - Posted by: Monique (Friend) on: Aug 31, 2016

I met Daria a few years ago at the Yacht Club where she helped her mom, Delores, at the restaurant. She always had such a warm smile. When they returned this year I was surprised to hear of her cancer. We had some in depth talks of her treatments as we shared views on naturopath remedies. She always seemed so upbeat and positive. Hadn't seen her since late summer so this was a complete shock. RIP Daria . . . thought you had this girl. My condolences to her family. Daria will always hold a spot in my heart, she was outgoing, loved life and was there for everybody all the time. She raised and nurtured 3 wonderful children. Spoke often about her Mom and was the pillar to all. She did everyone a person in life could do for all, always a giver never a taker. - Posted by: debbie fakes (friend OF family AND ESPECIALLY DARIA AND THE KIDS.) on: Jan 27, 2016
