EVA MAY COBB On January 27, 2016, at the Misericordia Hospital, Eva May Cobb, aged 88 years of Waterfront Road, St. Vital, passed away peacefully in her sleep with her family by her side. Ms. Cobb was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and lived the first part of her life in West Kildonan with her brothers and parents. She was a long time resident of Fort Garry, and in her later years she enjoyed travelling to Great Britain and various bus tours around North America. Eva enjoyed staying active and playing sports, enjoying weekly bowling nights with her teammates as well as curling during the winter months. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Eva May Cobb, as well as her older brothers Charles and John Cobb, sister-in-law Jessie Cobb, and nephew Kenneth Cobb. She is survived by her nephew David and wife Theresa, great-nieces and nephews Jason (Alison), Cindy (Stephen), Katherine, James and Jessica, as well as great-great-nieces and nephews Nicholas, Chloe, Abigail, Wyatt and Anthony John, and longtime family friend Bruce Lang. Her family would like to thank all the staff at Misericordia Health Centre's Cornish Unit for their compassionate care during Eva's last days. Viewing will take place on Monday, February 1, 2016 from 1:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway with funeral services to follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens following the service.
