Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN KELLY-WYLIE March 14, 1916 - February 12, 2016 We are saddened to announce that Helen Kelly-Wylie passed away peacefully on February 12, 2016. She was predeceased by husbands, Ralph Kelly and Dr. Ken Wylie. She is survived by her four nephews and their families. Helen was a Registered Nurse and loved her profession. Her nursing career included time in Saskatchewan, B.C. and Manitoba. Her strong work ethic led to increased levels of responsibility. She spent many years at the Misericordia Hospital as Assistant Director, then as Director of Nursing Services. Upon retiring from hospital nursing, she became involved in Occupational Health Nursing for ten years setting up the Health Department at Boeing of Canada in Winnipeg. Helen belonged to the Winnipeg Winter Club for several years and enjoyed bowling and bridge. She exuded vitality and had a great sense of humour. She was fun to be with and leaves behind wonderful memories. At Helen's request, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place and interment will be held in Moose Jaw, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one's choice. Thanks to friends, Bob and Jean Marshall for their help and kindness to Helen before her hospitalization and to caregivers at the Maples Personal Care Home for the last five years. Very special thanks to Josie and Henry Pycka, for always going above and beyond the necessary in caring and advocating for Helen. You were her angels. I remember Helen when she was the Director of Nursing at the Misericordia. What a professional looking nurse she was with her uniform of white cap with black band, white dress and shoes. She had a marvellous twinkle in her eye but she exuded authority! - Posted by: Dr Larry C R Mackie (Employee / Colleague) on: Feb 16, 2016
