Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONNIE RYBACHUK 1948 - 2016 Donnie Rybachuk passed away at the Victoria General Hospital on February 14, 2016 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Linda; daughters, Robyn (Blair, Rylea, Parker, and Gracelyn) and Kelly (Jeremy); their mother Peggy (Michael); sister Darleen (Colin); auntie Millie; stepson Michael (Kirsten, Liam, and River); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Lily Rybachuk, and infant brother. Donnie was born and raised in Teulon, Manitoba. He worked as secretary-treasurer for the Town of Teulon and later as CAO for the R.M. of Armstrong. He was also a magistrate for several years. Donnie was a proud member of the Teulon Kinsmen Club and volunteer firefighter for the community. He was an avid golfer, hockey player, baseball player and curler. Donnie also coached ringette for his daughters' teams and loved to watch them play. Since his retirement, Donnie enjoyed wintering in Arizona with Linda. Donnie's pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. He loved playing with the little ones and being their Papa. Thank you to Dr. Loudon and his staff for the wonderful health care over the years. Also thanks to the Yuma Regional Medical Center and the Victoria General Hospital Intensive Care Unit. A memorial service will be held at the Teulon Rockwood Centennial Centre on Saturday, February 20 at 1:00 p.m. Honourary pallbearers include, Julian and Miriam Blahey, Glen Marmonier, Stew Cheyne, Ken Berg and Amy Dellebuur. I have known Donnie for many years, but it was over the last 10 years or so that I was able to work in the same building as him and he were always ready to chat a moment, have a coffee and he was my guardian , as I always felt comfortable with him around. Donnie and I were pretty good friends since we were about five years old. We lived a block and a half apart and we really spent a lot of time together growing up. we even managed to have a few barley pops on the weekends when we weren't supposed to. Mind you the age limit then was 21 so all was good! Donnie, Rebar, Pedro etc, will be missed in our Town. Our condolences to Linda and all the family. So long Friend.
