MILDRED ANTONIA PEARL FIERCE
Born: Jan 17, 1930
Date of Passing: Feb 13, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMILDRED ANTONIA PEARL FIERCE (nee GIBSON) With sadness in our hearts, we said goodbye on February 13, 2016 to our Mother, Mildred Antonia Pearl. Very peacefully, Mom took her last breath and went to be with the love of her life, Charlie, for a Valentine's Day reunion. She was predeceased by Dad, Charles William Fierce on April 3, 2000, also her mother Cecilia, father Joseph, sister Mary, son in law Glenn, grandson Garth, nephew Rick, and many sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws. Mildred is survived by her daughters Lindsay (Mark) Olson, Patricia (late Glenn) Barill, and Kathleen Fierce (Claude Fortier). Grandchildren Gavin (Stacey) Olson, Gwenda Olson-Shaw (Brian Shaw), Garet (Jin) Olson, Lisa (Michael) Waterman, Michael Hooey, Daryl (Lisa) Menary, Brendon (Nicole) Doering, and Brittany Doering. Great-grandchildren Shane Olson, Summer Fulin, Lindsay and Elizabeth Waterman, Nora Menary, and Zoey Doering. Sisters Shirley (Denis) Brolly, Joan (late John) Dudas. Also many family, extended family, and friends. Born to Cecilia and Joseph Gibson on January 17, 1930 on Poplar Grove Farm in Reston, Manitoba, the oldest of four girls. Helping to raise her three younger sisters, Mom grew up with a strong sense of the importance of family. Her love and compassion was the cornerstone of her existence. Anyone that crossed paths with Mom knew that they were always welcome in her home, and always in her heart. No doubt it was that shining aura that captured the heart of our Father on that first blind date. From that moment on, they were inseparable and knew that their lives were meant to be lived together. On January 12, 1952, they said "I do". Family was everything to Mom so babies were a natural. Three daughters later, my Dad realized that if he ever wanted to use the washroom, he had to get up pretty early! Love conquers all and that was very evident with Mom and Dad. No matter what life threw her way, she never complained. Her quiet strength and determination was a quality to be admired. To round out her diverse personality, Mom loved a good Blue Bomber game shared with sister Joan. Supporting the Arts were also important to her. Whether it was the MTC, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Symphony Orchestra, or selling programs for the Ice Capades, Mom loved them all. How do we thank someone for all the memories? We share them, we smile when we get that warm feeling inside, and we keep her memory alive in our hearts. You loved, and are loved now and forever. Funeral service will be held on February 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3K 1W3. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 204-885-9715

I Celebrate Your Life In Memory of Aunt Mildred - January 17, 1930 - February 13, 2016 I celebrate your life, The time you gave to all I hold you close inside A presence standing tall Your spirit shines above And holds me close to you You gave your heart and soul To everyone you knew The days and nights will pass me by But in my heart I'll feel you there A time a place a feeling deep inside my soul Where peace and joy is everywhere A memory of a gentler time Sitting in a kitchen chair Cookies and milk and smiles within Your love was always there I'll miss you each and every day But keep your warmth inside me And when I need to feel strong once more I'll feel you walk beside me by Geoff Fierce February 27, 2016 - Posted by: Geoff Fierce (Nephew) on: Feb 27, 2016

I am sad to hear of Aunt Mildred's passing, but am at the same time happy that she and Uncle Charlie will be together again. Unfortunately, because I wasn't notified in time, I cannot attend her funeral service. All my love to the family and friends she has left behind. God be with you. - Posted by: Frances Harrison nee Fierce (Niece) on: Feb 27, 2016

The Fierce family lived across the street from us on Elgin Avenue and down a few houses and were a great family to have on the street. Lindsay was roughly my age as was Patricia and we sometimes hung around together. Mr and Mrs Fierce fit in well with all the other parents of our friends as we lived in such a nice area where everybody knew everybody and parents would just have to flick the front light on and off a few times and then yell a few times to get our attention as we were usually having such a good time in doing what we were up to that we didn't always want to acknowledge the sign to come on in for the night. My deepest sympathies to the girls as I see their Dad passed away already and now their Mom has gone to join him and continue in their love. Take care Mr and Mrs Fierce as you gave us such good memories and as clearly as I can remember, my Mom helped somehow in the birth of Kathleen. MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL NOW AND ALWAYS WITH GOOD HEALTH AND HAPPINESS AND MAY EACH AND EVERY STEP YOU TAKE ON THIS JOURNEY WE CALL LIFE BE BLESSED BY THE GOOD LORD ABOVE.
