SANDRA JOAN (BROWN) RACETTE April 23, 1944 - February 13, 2016 With deepest sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mom and grandmother. Sandra Joan Racette, 71, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home. She leaves to mourn her husband of 51 years, Kenneth Racette, her children, Lorrie, Susan and Richard, her four grandchildren, Karman, Fred, David and Ryan; as well as two sisters Lorna Orlansky and Patricia Wood. Sandra was born and raised in Brandon, Manitoba. After meeting and marrying the love of her life, they soon started their own family. Because of Ken's job, they moved around Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, here she made lifelong friends. They finally settled in Winnipeg in 1980. Sandra loved to travel, everyone knew her favourite spot was Las Vegas. A few of her favourite activities were going for coffee with family and friends, going to movies and whenever possible, heading to Clear Lake, where she would meet up with more family and friends. She was a loving, caring and giving lady. She will be missed by all of us. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society. Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com

  • So sorry to hear about Sandy. She was the most loving person that I know. I have very fond memories of her taking me to the Brandon fair when I was 5. Plus she was a family member you could always count on. She will be missed. x - Posted by: Joan Leathem nee Brown (cousin) on: Jan 08, 2017
