RICHARD MICHAEL HEFFORD Rick went home to be with his Lord, surrounded by his loving family, on February 19, 2016, at the Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 69. Survived by his wife Arleigh (Orchard); two sons, Tom (Nadine) with son Rylan and Benjamin. Daughter Kari (Steve) with sons, Maverick and Rockford. Sister Linda (Wayne) Bell. Rick was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Velma Hefford. Service will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Grant Memorial Church, 877 Wilkes Ave., Winnipeg, MB. A private family interment will take place in Miami Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Rick's memory to Operation Smile. P.O. Box 235, Station Main, Markham, ON L3P 3J7 or donate online at operationsmile.ca Doyle's Funeral Chapel of Carman, in care of arrangements.

  • Rick was the most professional and knowledgeable financial advisor I had ever met. I learned so much, and that was hi "MO": to teach people how to invest their money NOT tell them what to do. That is called "respect"; and there was lots. Arleigh and family: I cannot imagine the depths of your loss, but please know you are not alone. My memories of being a young girl babysitting are of a gentleman who saw to it that I was safely inside my home, and the car door was ALWAYS opened for me.
