GLADYS ANNIE KEITH (nee SMITH) Peacefully, with family by her side, Gladys passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at Golden Door Geriatric Centre at the age of 92 years. Gladys was predeceased by her husbands Geoffrey Whittington and Jack Keith, her brothers Fred (Doreen) Smith, Len (Margaret) Smith, and Bernard (Betty) Smith, as well as her sister-in-law Pearl Keith. Gladys will be lovingly remembered by her son Ken (Linda) Whittington, her daughter Pat Guinn, grandchildren Janine Guinn (Greg Nykiforuk), Kristin (Ben) Storie, and Matthew (Ashley) Whittington, and great-grandchildren Maxwell and Lydia Storie, and Porter Whittington, as well as her sister Dorothy (Don) Willms, and many nieces and nephews. She was born and raised in the RM of Springfield and has resided in Winnipeg all her life. After Geoffrey passed, Gladys worked at Hardy and Buchanan where she met her second husband Jack. Jack and Gladys enjoyed travelling within Canada. She enjoyed her bus excursions with her family after Jack's passing. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cards with her grandchildren when they were younger. Gladys was independent, feisty, and a classy lady. The family would like to thank Golden Door staff for the care and compassion they have shown Gladys over the last few years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. A memorial service will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
