Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER WILLIAM (BILL) WEAVER Peacefully on February 23, 2016 Walter William (Bill) Weaver passed away at Riverview Health Centre. He was predeceased by his mother Genevieve, father Edgar, and brothers Arthur and Edgar. Survived by wife Denise, daughter Doreen, sons Earl and Dwayne, brothers Wilfred, Russell, twin brother James, Gordon, and Dennis, sister Lillian, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Mom and Dad recently celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary on February 16. Dad was an active lifetime parishioner of Saint Ignatius, as well as member of the Knights of Columbus. Dad was employed with the C.N.R. as a Carman from 1944 to 1985, he enjoyed his time with the railroad immensely. Dad would always have a "great" story to tell about many an adventure working on the tracks or in the shop. Dad was also an active member, employee and "Honorary" President of the ANAF Rockwood Unit 303 for the past 61 years. After retirement he enjoyed working at the "Club", chauffeuring the Grandkids, (Charlie Pride was always a captive audience favourite), puttering in his garage, gardening, shoveling snow, (couldn't wait!!!), enjoying the cottage at Winnipeg Beach and travelling to Ireland, Australia, Europe and a Caribbean Cruise with family. Dad always had a smile and a friendly greeting to anyone he met. Dad will be sorrowfully missed by his loving family, relatives and many, many friends. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at St. Ignatius Church, 255 Stafford St. at Corydon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4J9. We would like to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre and Riverview for their care. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com
