Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • I got to know Stan through the Museum group after I retired and got involved. He was an advocate and through various committees, a stint on the Board, doing tours and his continued contact with Hydro-X, he kept the Museum and what it stands for and is trying to do in the community, at the top of his list of things to do. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. - Posted by: Darryl Willie (Museum Buddy) on: Mar 09, 2016

  • Stan introduced me to a life-long career in Distribution Engineering. As a young engineer, I had the absolute good fortune of working for Stan in the Central Region Engineering Department. That was the beginning of more than 35 years in Distribution Engineering. He was a good teacher, a good supervisor and a good friend. Thank you, Stella & family, for sharing him with the Manitoba Hydro family. We will miss him greatly. Our sympathies to you! - Posted by: Erni Wiebe (Co-worker, Manitoba Hydro) on: Mar 03, 2016

  • I got to sing with Stan in Manitoba Hydro's Christmas Choir (The Electric Chords) for a few years. It was a pleasure to know and work with him in this regard. His smile and jovial nature were missed the last few years. Since he left the choir, I have not seen him as often but it was nice to re-connect with him and you (Stella) when the choir was invited to sing at the Kirchhoff Gardens apartments. He will be fondly remembered. Heartfelt sympathies and prayers to you and your family, Stella. -Ryan Kraemer - Posted by: Ryan Kraemer (Friend and Hydro Choir) on: Mar 02, 2016
