Our precious daughter Taylor Anne Piskor passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Born in Winnipeg on May 29, 2001, Tay came into the world screaming, never ever slept or sat still, keeping us on her toes every day. Hockey became her passion at three years old, which made her an amazing hockey player, and she was blessed to make many friends and create many memories on every team she played for. Taylor always had a smile on her face, loved life and lived it to the fullest taking many selfies and videoing everything she did. We all have many great memories because Tay had a special way of making people laugh with her crazy antics, and her compassion for others made her truly unique. Our free spirited girl with a passion for life will forever bring a smile to our face. Taylor will be greatly missed by her loving parents Peter and Lisa, sister Kyla, grandparents Frank and Bonnie VandeGraaf, Pete and Joanne Piskor, uncles, aunts and cousins, Michael and Erin Watson (Emily), Grant and Cheryl Clegg (Tyler and Kyle), Kevin and Tiffany VandeGraaf (Ella and Claire), and Crystal Sutherland. Taylor was predeceased by her aunt Lisa Amell. Thank you to the Stars team, the PICU at Children's Hospital, the doctors and nurses were like family and truly unbelievable during our journey. CH5 became our other home where in the end we were lucky enough to have the support of the most compassionate people. A special thanks to those individuals that went above and beyond with the care of Taylor and for our entire family. We are so blessed with family and friends that never left our side. They wiped our tears, shared stories and were able to make us laugh at times where we never thought we could. Thank you to all that spent countless hours at the hospital helping us get through the most difficult time for us. A special thanks to our honorary sister Brenda Edwards who was with us on this entire journey start to finish. A private funeral has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Taylor's Life held on Monday, March 14 at the Oak Bluff Rec Centre from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Rest easy our "Snapchat and Selfie" queen. Keep on smiling up in heaven! In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Stars Foundation, Children's Hospital Foundation or Ronald McDonald House Charities. TAYLOR ANNE PISKOR Heaven gained the most beautiful angel March 3, 2016. Taylor Anne Piskor passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at the young age of 14. There will be a Celebration of Taylor's life on Monday, March 14 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Oak Bluff Recreation Centre. Everyone is welcome to help us celebrate Tay's life. A full obituary will follow in Saturday's Free Press.
