SUSAN ELLEN GREGG
Date of Passing: Mar 05, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySUSAN ELLEN GREGG (nee BELL) After a brief battle with liver disease, Susan Gregg, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side at 1:11p.m., March 5, 2016. She leaves to mourn her passing, her loving husband of 34 years, Carl Gregg; her wonderful sons, Tyler Gregg (Jasmine), Chad Gregg (Rachele), Matt Gregg; grandchildren, Kasey, Nathan and Taylor; her mother, Elenore Bell; sisters, Christine, Sandra (Ken), Liza (Doug), Cindy (Bobby); as well as, many nieces and nephews. Susan is predeceased by her father Kristinn; brothers David and Dennis Bell; brother-in-law Bob Riter, and numerous other relatives and friends that have gone on before. Susan was born and raised in Selkirk, Manitoba, and lived there until she met Carl. They later settled outside of Stonewall and began raising their family. Susan loved her flower and vegetable gardens, every spring she would spend hours pulling out the weeds tilling the soil, planting new flowers, and seeding the garden for fresh vegetable. Susan worked for many years first as lunch hour supervisor, then later as a custodian at Grosse Isle School. She loved being able to spend time with the many children that roamed the halls of the school but look out if they made a mess. She also worked as a custodian with the South Interlake Regional Health Authority at the Rosewood lodge in Stonewall where she made many friends that will dearly miss her. Her real passion was her family especially her grandchildren, she loved spending time with them, the many summers spent quading, living room picnics and movie nights where the kids would have to show her how to use the dvd player. Mom also loved spending summer weekends out at Tall Pine Lodges in West Hawk Lake with dad. Her favourite holiday was Halloween. She would fill the fireplace mantel with paper ghosts and spider webs. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Grosse Isle Elementary School with refreshments to follow at Grosse Isle Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Susan's honour to the Canadian Liver Foundation. MacKenzie Funeral Home Stonewall 204-467-2525 info@mackenziefh.com

She talked non stop about her grandchildren and we shared many funny stories about them too......Susan will be very sadly missed but in our hearts forever because that's who she was......unforgettable......may you now rest in peace Susan...... - Posted by: Annette Campbell (Friend and co worker) on: Mar 12, 2016

I dont know where to start...my heart is so sadden by the loss of this amazing woman and friend...I have known her for 9 years and the first time I saw her was back in 2007 when I went for an interview at the Stonewall Hospital where she was working at the time...was walking down the hall and she said hello to me and smiled...first thing I thought was wow she us only about 18 on which I told her much later into our friendship...there was never a dull moment with her...she always knew how to make me laugh when I was sad...she would come visit me while waiting for Carl to get off work and Dave and I would go visit the two of them on occasions... Her and I became very close friends on which we both could confide in one another and knew we had each others back...the time working with her was something that I will never forget...the memories her and I made are forever graved into my heart...she would go so excited and so proud of her grandchildren showing us pics of them seeing that gleam in her eyes when she talked about them...never forget the ride she took me on the quad...we laughed so hard...it will never be the same with out her at the lodge and not being able to see her again...she was a lady that has touched me in away that no one could even come close to and I miss her more than anything...I love you Susan may our Father in Heaven comfort you until we meet one day soon...xoxo - Posted by: Liz Carde (co-worker and close friend) on: Mar 11, 2016

I am a friend of her son chad and his wife Rachele. I met them back in 2008 I was soon introduced to susan and carl, going out to their place was always a fun time. They love entertaining! An abundance of food quading and maybe hit the hot tub afterwards. You knew you would feel welcome and have fun. Carl,Chad, rachele, tyler, jasmine, and Matt She was much to young and beautiful to leave this world. But I know you will all keep her close in your hearts and I am so sorry for your loss ❤ - Posted by: shelley samborski (friend) on: Mar 11, 2016
