Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHARON ANNE PATTERSON (nee WATSON) July 24, 1947 March 7, 2016 Suddenly on March 7, 2016, loving mother, sister, auntie and grandma Sharon left us. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughters, Camy (Mike) and Diane (James), and son Brian; also her siblings, Margaret Beddoe, Randolph Watson, Evelyn Smirnos (Bruce), Susan Kolbauer, Robert Belanger (Linda), and Dawn Yuzwa (John); granddaughters Juanita, Justina, Makayla (Dennis) and Makala (Burns); grandson Gregory; and great-granddaughter Aiyanna, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as many loving friends. Sharon was predeceased by her husband Woody; mother Margaret; father Keith; sisters, Linda Cory, and Rebecca Watson, and her favorite and closest aunt Shirley Bate. She loved her children dearly, and did her best as a single mom. After many years of kissing several frogs, she finally met and married her true soul mate and prince, Woody. She was very close to her youngest sisters, and in many ways was a mother to the youngest of her siblings. Sharon had an infectious laugh that made anyone around her join in. She loved to joke, and also loved sarcasm and used it well. She was very active in Legion and community activities. She was also active in Girl Guides Canada and was Commissioner for her area. She loved cooking, gardening, and being outdoors. Her door was always open to everyone no matter who they were, her love knew no bounds. She will be missed so much. The Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Gimli, lunch to follow at The Isfeld Villa, 34 Church Bay Lane, Winnipeg Beach. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to Girl Guides of Canada. To make a secure donation online go to CanadaHelps.org or call (416) 487-5281 ext. 260.
