MARIE-JEAN SEDESKY Marie Jean Sedesky (nee Fisher) passed away peacefully at the Ste. Anne Hospital, with her family by her side. Baba was born in Duck Lake, Saskatchewan on March 6, 1925. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry after 49 years of marriage. Baba is lovingly remembered by her four children, Richard Sedesky (Linda), Terry Sedesky (Marlis), Fred Sedesky and Rosemary McDonald (Murray). She also leaves her grandchildren, Richelle (Jayson), Sean, Kristin (Jason), Jason (Claire), Jennifer, Andrew (Samantha), Ashley (Tony); and her great-grandchildren, Jaysun, Sorcha, Samuel, James, Jack, Grace, Johnathan and Heath of whom she loved dearly. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Jules and Georgine Fisher along with her four brothers and five sisters. After Dad's passing, Mom moved into an apartment and resided there up until two years ago where she spent her final days in Ste. Anne, Manitoba to be closer to her daughter. Baba loved to cook and nothing gave her greater joy than to feed people. She would not take no for an answer and everyone in her company would be fed. Baba loved to garden and for many years her and Dad maintained a large vegetable garden where they were always found tending to it. In her later years, she always checked on everyone's plants to make sure they were being watered, real or not. The church was always a very important part of Baba's life. The family would like to give a special thank you to the homecare staff at Villa YouVille in Ste. Anne, Manitoba. They would also like to extend a very special thank you to the entire staff at Ste. Anne Hospital who treated Mom with the greatest compassion and care. To respect Mom's wishes, there will be no funeral and a small celebration of her life will follow this summer in Kenora, ON. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Canadian Alzheimer's Society or the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
