WANDA CHALATURNYK (nee LECHOWICZ) Peacefully on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Betel Home Selkirk, Wanda Chalaturnyk (nee Lechowicz) passed away at the age of 92, wife, mother, grandmother, artist, teacher, community booster, "hostess with the mostest": all labels Wanda wore proudly. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Bob, Ted, Terry, Mark and their families. She was predeceased by her husband John, her parents and siblings. Wanda made the ideal mother-in-law; welcoming each successive bride warmly into the family. She enriched her grandchildren's lives with her passion for art; passing on her skills to the next generation. The family would like to thank the staff at Betel Home Selkirk for their excellent level of care and compassion in her final days. Wanda enjoyed her last five years living in the warm caring atmosphere of Betel where she enjoyed all the activities open to her. Respecting Wanda's wishes cremation has taken place.
