SALLY BOYER It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Solange (Sally) Boyer on March 14, 2016, at the age of 89, at the Calvary Place Personal Care Home. Her beloved granddaughter, Destiny and her grandson, Deryk were by her side at the time of her passing. Sally is survived by her daughters: Thelma (Danny), Debbie (Samuel) and Jeannette (Doug); her son, Jerry; her grandchildren: Christopher, Teressa, Daniel, Jason, Deryk, Michelle, Destiny, Rodney; and her numerous great-grandchildren. Sally was predeceased by her husband, Maurice, and her sons: Georgie and Roger. Sally was born in Ste. Rose du Lac in 1926 and moved to Winnipeg in her early 20s where she lived for her remaining years. Sally was very shy but once you became a friend she was always there for you. Throughout her life Sally loved to joke with her family and would laugh so hard she would cry. She especially loved when her grandchildren came to visit. She faithfully watched her soap operas, some for over 30 years, and loved to watch old westerns and classical movies. Other times you could find her working on jigsaw puzzles or word search puzzles or listening to the Gaitlin Brothers or Kenny Rogers. Throughout the years she was well known throughout several bingo halls. The family would like to extend a very big thank you to all the 2nd floor staff and volunteers at the Calvary Place Personal Care Home, especially to Maryann and Thelma for the excellent care they provided to our mother/grandmother for the past several years. Funeral service will be held Monday, March 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB. In lieu of flowers, the family are requesting that donations be made to the Alzheimer Society. Miss me a little, but not too long And not with your head bowed low, Remember the love that we once shared Miss me, but let me go.
