ERICA DAWN RIEDEL (nee STEINKE) Erica Riedel, beloved wife of Gonzalo, passed away in the Riverview Health Centre on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the age of 33 years. She is survived by sons Elliot and Charlie; parents Ron and Laury; sisters Jenny (Jenni), and Brittany (Ben); grandparents John and Alice Steinke and Rodger Morris. Predeceased by grandmother Mary Morris. A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Westminster United Church, 745 Westminster Ave., with the Rev. Scott MacAuley officiating.   • I rember the day Erica was born and how proud, happy and excited her dad was to share his news of her arrival. Erica had amazing parents, always smiling and putting their family first. Both had big hearts and amazing smiles. Due to time and circumstances I only saw Erica when she was a young girl but you could see she was very much like her parents. I'm very sorry to hear of her passing which is far to soon. It is a profound loss and no words can express or relieve the pain that your family is feeling right now. I know you are not alone and the prayers and support of your family and friends surround you now.   • Working with Ron for years at Transit and our girls going to the same school through out elementary I was deeply saddened by the news of Erica's passing.   • Our hearts are breaking for you both. The loss of a child is not understood by most people as that is not the order it should be. I found this quote by Johnny Cash very good. "There's no way around grief and loss you can dodge all you want, but sooner or later you just have to go into it, through it, and, hopefully come out the other side.
