SUEHIRO (SAM) TATSUMI 1932 - 2016 It is with sadness that the family of Sam announces his passing on March 19 at Maples Personal Care Home at the age of 84. Sam was born in Hammond, B.C. and will be lovingly rememberd by his wife Irene, daughter Cathryn (Mark) Hanssen, son Kenji (Corinne), grandchildren Chloe and Samuel, brother Yoshio (Tomoko), sister Bette Nagamori, sister-in-law Kuni, brother-in-law Yuta (Laura) as well as nieces, nephews and other friends and family. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Eiji, sister Yae Sawa, and brothers-in-law, Sid Nagamori and Terry Sawa. Sam had a passion for fishing and mushroom picking. He kept busy doing things that he enjoyed such as carpentry, gardening, and mechanics. The family would like to thank the staff at Maples Personal Care Home for their care of Sam, and offer a special thanks to nieces Karen, Marlene and Joanne for their love and support. A Celebration of Sam's Life will be held on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Interment to follow.
