LILIANNE LAMBERT (née ST. GODARD) July 4, 1930 - March 23, 2016 It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Lilianne Lambert at the age of 85. She passed away with her husband of 57 years, Benoît Lambert, and her three sons, Richard (Pam), Marcel (Michelle) and Réal (Cathy) at her bedside at the St. Boniface Hospital. Lilianne was predeceased by her parents Napoléon and Marie-Louise (Péloquin); seven brothers; one sister; eight sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; as well as her parents-in-law Emile et Georgina (Savard) Lambert. Also cherishing her memory are her five grandchildren, Emily, Lauren, Spencer, Graeme and Violet. She is survived by her brothers Roger (Marlyn) and Aurèle St. Godard; her sisters Yvette (Denis Brisson), Paulette Ross and Gilberte (Orest Horbachewski); and her brother in-law Philippe (Doris) Lambert. Lilianne was born and raised in Ste. Elizabeth, Manitoba. She was the seventh of 14 children. Lilianne married Benoît Lambert on May 17, 1958. Together they moved to St. Boniface in a home on Ritchot Street where they lived for 50 years. They then moved to L' Acceuil Colombien where they were surrounded by friends and family. Lili was very family oriented and liked family and friends dropping in for visits. There are a lot of fond memories of camping and car trips. She was a stay-at-home parent when she needed to be. She also worked at the Taché Hospital, was a private child-care provider for many children, and also worked at Le Paladin and Alouette cafés. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at la Cathédrale de St-Boniface, 190 avenue de la Cathédrale, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Interment will take place at the St. Boniface Cemetery. Special thanks to her doctor Isabelle Paquin for her exceptional care and concern, and to the staff of the St. Boniface Hospital in the emergency, 5E and 5B wards. Thank you! In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Lilianne to any of the following: Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, the Canadian Diabetes Association or Cancer Care Manitoba.
