Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARJORIE ALICE PARK July 30, 1928 March 22, 2016 With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Marjorie, "Marge". She will be deeply and forever cherished by her husband Robert Park, children Wendy (Joe) Templeman, Cathy (Kirk) Williams, Gary Park (Shannon), Sandy (Gary) Derksen, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren Brett (Zoè), Courtney (Justin), Lauren (Sheldon), Logan, Connor, Ryan, Anabel and Claire, her brother Charlie Riess and nephews Rick and Rob. Marge was born and raised in Winnipeg on Banning St., attending General Wolfe, Daniel McIntyre and United College. Bob and Marge met at TCA (Air Canada), were married July 11, 1953 and settled in Silver Heights on Turner Ave. This was home for Marge until her move to Golden West Centennial Lodge in 2006. Mom dedicated herself to her family. She was a beautiful lady inside and out and always put others first. She loved people, loved to have fun and laugh, always made the best of every situation. She loved her sports, being a Winnipeg Blue Bombers season ticket holder of over 50 years, as well as golfing in the summer and curling in the winter. She enjoyed several trips to Great Britain, Hawaii, Caribbean Cruise and Las Vegas. We would like to thank all of the staff of Golden West Centennial Lodge, especially those on the 2nd floor. As her home for more than ten years, all of you in some way have touched us and we will be forever grateful for your kindness and care shown to Marge and Bob. A special thank you to all of the resident families that we have had the pleasure meeting during this journey. You are also a very important part of our lives. She will fondly be remembered and sadly missed by her family and many friends. We will celebrate Marjorie's life with a private gathering on her birthday. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Golden West Centennial Lodge, 811 School Rd., Winnipeg, MB, R2Y 0S8, or give time to the many seniors in care.
