MARGARET ROSE LUKE (nee MCTAVISH) August 24, 1940 - March 25, 2016 It is with heavy hearts that we announce that on March 25, 2016, Margaret's courageous journey came to an end. She passed peacefully with her family by her side. She is survived by her husband Bruce, her three sons, Kirk, Randy (Sandra) and Darren (Joanne), and her pride and joy two grandchildren, Kyle and Mikayla. If ever there was an angel among us, Margaret was it. She lived her life selflessly, thinking always of others before herself. She will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank all the wonderful people at CancerCare Manitoba, the caring staff at Grace Hospital - 3 North, and most of all, a heartfelt thanks to everyone at the Grace Hospice who allowed her to live her final months with dignity and grace. There will be an interment of Margaret's ashes at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue on Thursday, March 31, 2016. A Celebration of Margaret's Life will follow at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make generous donations to either CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, or to the Grace Hospice (through the Grace Hospital Foundation). I would like to express our deepest condolences to the family for your loss. So many wonderful memories with the Luke family back in the Charleswood days, watching the boys grow up, sharing special holidays, especially Xmas. Maggie was an important role model in my life, and she truly was an angel. - Posted by: Linda Maurer (Becker) (Family Friend) on: Mar 30, 2016

I'm sorry to hear that Margaret suffered from cancer (the same disease that I have fought and beat). I had to retire early from work due to a disability caused by my cancer. She was always a joy to work with. My condolences to her entire family. - Posted by: Rebecca Drain (co-worker at Government) on: Mar 30, 2016
