GEORGE FELLOWES It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of George, on Friday, March 25, 2016, with his family at his side. He was born in Winnipeg and was proud to have lived here all his life. He grew up in Elmwood and spent his early working years at Great West Life and Air Canada. George then moved to Investors Group and worked for 33 years in sales and management. He was a people person, a kind and gentle son, a successful businessman, a loving husband and father, and a doting grandfather who was known for his great love of children. Left to mourn are his wife of 50 years, Linda; his daughters, Karen (Terry), Nancy (Gord); and son David (Jimi-Lynn); and cherished grandchildren, Chelsea, Aly, Eric, Alex and Rayne. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, April 2 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Chad's Anglican Church, 472 Kirkfield Street. Fellowship will follow the service. Private family interment. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Children's Hospital Foundation. Love never dies. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book, please visit our website. Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • To Linda and family, We just learned of George's passing today (Friday April 8th). George was a member of our Friday Goldwings at the airport. All of us were so saddened to hear this news today. George had many interesting and funny stories and we all had many laughs and happy coffee breaks with him. George was indeed a gentleman with a kind heart who always wanted to help people. He would go out of his way to assist others. Our hearts go out to you, Linda. Along with you, we too will miss him. We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to know him through his volunteer work at the airport. We all deeply mourn his death but celebrate the life of a wonderful person who left the world a better place. Wherever a beautiful soul has been... There is a trail of beautiful memories. Thinking of you with kindness, June Sprott, Goldwing Ambassador. - Posted by: June Sprott (Member of the Winnipeg Airport Goldwing Ambassadors) on: Apr 08, 2016

  • It's twenty years since Karen was MC at our son Mitchell and Christine's wedding. We easily connected with Karen's parents Linda and George on St. Pete Beach during their annual visit to Bonaire. Over the years we shared stories , jokes, advice, a few health issues, always culminating with George making sure that we enjoyed a delicious hamburger and beer at the beach. George's infectious smile and cheery disposition will be missed. Please accept our sincere condolences. Helen and Marv - Posted by: Helen and Marvin Goldberg () on: Mar 31, 2016
