DENISE ST. GODARD (née TRUDEL) September 14, 1927 - March 29, 2016 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mom is joining her husband Paul; her parents Joseph and Cleophée Trudel; and many loved ones who have passed before her. We find comfort in knowing she is filling her glass of red wine, catching up with Dad and getting a front row seat to watch over us. Denise leaves to mourn her children Renald (Judi), Lise (Alain), Marilyne (Roland), Pauline (Richard) and Joanne (Richard); 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn her passing are her siblings Lucien (Anne), Guy (Laurette), Richard, Marielle (Barney), Real (Jeannette), Raymond (Yolande), Claudette (John), Claire, Donna, and Celine. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law Yvette St. Godard, Benoit, Yvette B. Roger (Marlyn), Aurèle, Yvette, Paulette, and Gilberte (Orest). Mom was born in St. Malo in 1927. Mom met Dad when she was working as a housekeeper for Ma Tante Antoinette. They married in October, 1949, in St. Malo. Together they had a wonderful life, raised five children in St. Norbert, St. Boniface, and in Brandon, and they eventually retired in Mom's parents' house in St. Malo. Mom was a great cook. She took pride in making a great meal for her family. Many memories were made at her kitchen table - eating wonderful meals, playing 21 for quarters and horseracing. Funeral Mass for Mom will be celebrated on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Malo Roman Catholic Church in St. Malo, MB, officiated by Fr. Dominic Lafleur. Repose en paix Mom, et Mémère.
