GORDON ENNIS March 25, 1930 April 1, 2016 Gordon Ennis passed away peacefully on Friday, April 1 at the Pinawa Hospital with family by his side. He is survived by his loving wife Shirley of 55 years, his children Cory and Colleen, grandchildren Meagan, Eric and Connor, and great- granddaughter Willow, brother Frank, sisters Olive, Margaret, Jean and Myrtle as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents John and Isabell, brothers Orval, Mervin and Harvey and sister Irene. Gordon was a mechanic and operated his own service station for several years in Winnipeg. He worked for George Richardson as a groundkeeper for many years. Later he worked for a landscaping company in Lac du Bonnet. Gordon retired in 1990 and spent his remaining years at the cottage he loved. Family was very important to Gordon. He enjoyed activities with family and friends. He enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, dancing and old time music. A Memorial Service is planned for Monday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel 1035 Park Avenue, Beausejour. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or to the Lac du Bonnet Library.
