JOSEPH ZAJACZ It is with sadness that the family of Joseph Zajacz announce his passing on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the age of 93 at the Victoria General Hospital, Winnipeg. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 67 years, Mary; his daughter Mary; son-in-law Dennis; grandsons, Ron and Jared; and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother and several brothers and sisters-in-law. A funeral service and interment will be held on Tuesday, April 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. While growing up as a child and teenager I had Mr Zajacz, his wife, and daughter as a family who lived down the block. I was a bit smitten with his daughter and I think he was amused with that as I was yet a teenager. He always had a kind word and mannerism although he was the protecting father. Mary and I grew up as friends, although shy friends who had eyes for each other but were much to shy to get to "first base" ha ha !! I'm sorry I didn't get to the funeral as the date came and went before I saw his obituary. My condolences to his wife and daughter Mary for the loss.
