PATRICIA JOAN HANSON (CYPURDA) April 25, 1938 - March 28, 2016 Peacefully, with her family by her side, our beloved Pat lost a brief battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband Brian, son Glen (Leslie) Scott, Eva, Anders, and Mats and daughter Kris (Brian) Wood, Steven and Jillian. Pat was predeceased by her parents Mary and Peter. Pat grew up in the North End and throughout the years made many lifelong friends (Girl's Club), who meant so much to her. She married the love of her life Brian on June 28, 1958 and together raised their family in East Kildonan, making great memories along the way. Pat and Brian loved their short and sweet trips across the border and she religiously attended her Tuesday night bingo with her buddies at Bronx Park. Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend and neighbour who always put others before herself. Mom enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren. They were her pride and joy, always supportive in their many activities. The family wishes to thank Dr. Pat Harris and the staff of 3NWest, Concordia Hospital for their compassionate care. A celebration of Mom's life will be held on Tuesday April 5 at 1:00 pm. St. Stephen's Anglican Church, 220 Helmsdale Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. 675 McDermot Ave Winnipeg, R3E 0V9 A private family interment will take place at a later date.
