DOUGAL (DOUG) GEORGE McKINNON It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dougal (Doug) George McKinnon, with family by his side. He left us the morning of March 28, 2016. Doug leaves behind his devoted wife, Patricia, and two loving children, daughter Lori and Grant (Kreuger) and son, Blaine McKinnon as well as two grandsons Matthew Kreuger (Sarah Taite) and Michael Kreuger and his great grandchild Clarissa Jade. He came from a large family so is predeceased by many brothers and sisters. He worked hard all his life, and spent the last 39 years of his work life employed with Manitoba Hydro. After retiring, Doug spent his time puttering in his yard or fussing over his garden. He loved being outside, working with his hands. He did some camping, some travelling, but mostly he worked at making his family comfortable. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

Worked with Doug in the mid 70's in The Pas and Flin Flon. Never was a tougher man for getting up at 6 am. I couldn't. Sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Jim Caron (coworker. ) on: Feb 13, 2020

I worked with Doug in various locations throughout the province. He was a very dedicated employee, very polite, quite knowledgeable and very easy to get along with. Please accept my most heartfelt condolences. Rest in peace Doug. - Posted by: Bob Crawley (Co Worker) on: Apr 02, 2016
