Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBETTY GESSELL Betty Gessell, of Winnipeg, passed away March 30, 2016, at Misericordia Place, at the age of 94 years. Betty was predeceased by her loving husband Louis. She will be sadly missed by sons, Glen (Judy) and Norman (Marilyn); her grandchildren, Lisa (Rick), Grant (Melanie), Michael and Steven. Betty is also survived by her nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. Betty was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on September 30, 1921. She grew up in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan, until she moved to Winnipeg in the early 1940s. Betty loved sewing, decorating, shopping and worked for Sears Custom Drapery. In 1970, she opened her own business Mansell's Draperies and continued until retirement. Betty was a very loving, giving and caring person, she will be sadly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the staff from Rosewood and Misericordia Place for all their support and care over the years.
