A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2016, at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery). I am saddened to hear of my eldest brother's passing. I am the youngest child of the family of Lilja and Thorvaldur Thorvaldson. During my childhood, I was always watched over by my sister and many brothers, and have memories of that time. As Thor was the eldest and I the youngest -our life paths separated. Thor and his family living in VANCOUVER and I being in Nurses training, marrying and moving from Manitoba to Ontario and then the USA, allowed me to see him on vacations back home.
