MARCIA JANE MARIC
Born: Jun 15, 1977
Date of Passing: Apr 04, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARCIA JANE MARIC (nee DeRYCKERE) Born June 15, 1977 At 2:29 p.m. on April 4, 2016, our courageous, beautiful, sophisticated Marci Jane left us. Marci is survived by her loving husband of 12 years Peri and her miraculous two year old daughter Sasha. Marci's passing has left a void in the souls of her mother Lynda, stepfather Mac, sisters Melissa (Greg, Aydan, Lilli) and Marni (Chad, Camryn, Nathaniel), brother Matthew (Mija), mother-in-law Cathie, father-in-law Steve, and sisters-in-law Gina (Dean, Alexander) and Tanya (Dan, Lucija). Relatives and friends too numerous to list were fortunate to have had Marci be a part of their lives. Marci was predeceased by her father Dr. Craig R. DeRyckere. Marci's effortless grace and cultivated taste pervaded every endeavour she undertook. Whether it was guiding her daughter's feet through her first ballet steps, softly whisking frosting for her cookies, carefully selecting the perfect pair of shoes to wear with an impeccably elegant outfit, or finding the perfect tones, textures, materials and colours to complement every occasion, Marcia had the highest standards for herself and everything she touched. A proud graduate of Simon Fraser University, Marcia's gift of retention and thirst for knowledge aided her not only in her educational pursuits, but Trivial Pursuits as well. Her physical beauty was a marvel too - she cast a soft glow in every room she entered with her porcelain skin, rosy cheeks and sparkling brown eyes. Marci's kind heart and generous spirit masked a will and determination of pure iron. A master of lists, charts and records, Bossy Mossy' had a gift for organizing, managing, clarifying, expediting and leading through both word and deed. Fond of wine, song, dance and laughter, Marci would make a fool of herself while singing perfectly on-key and do a purposely embarrassing dance that had faultless rhythm. Marci was a loving, patient and devoted wife, and Peri always knew he was punching above his weight with her. Marci's lifelong dream was motherhood. After years of trying, Marci gave birth to her perfect little miracle, her Sashi'. Although Sasha only had Marci in her life a short time, she was given love so complete it would fill ten lifetimes. Words cannot say enough for all the love and care Marci received from the nurses at GD6, and her incredible friends and family who selflessly devoted time, love and care. Surrounded by love throughout her time at the hospital, Marci was coined "Miss Popularity" by all the staff at Health Sciences Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to continue the pursuit of finding a cure for this disease. Donations can be made at lightthenight.ca to "Team Marcia Maric". Funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 13, at 10:00 a.m. (respects), 10:45 a.m. (eulogy & mass), at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave., with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding. You were always the prettiest girl in the room - P. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery (204) 222-3241 Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com
