OLIVE ALBERTA HORTON Peacefully on April 2, 2016, at the age of 89, Olive Horton passed away at Oakview Place Personal Care Home. She was predeceased by her parents, Annie and Fairful Given; her husband, William "Bill" Horton, and her close friend Clayton Porter. Left to cherish her memory is her close family friends, Helen Adamik and Joyce Porter Kuziw and families. Olive was born on November 30, 1926 in Windsor, ON. This is where she grew up and worked as a dietary aide at the Grace Hospital which led to her meeting her husband, Bill. Once married Bill and Olive remained in Windsor, ON up until their retirement in 1989 when they then moved to Winnipeg, MB. A special thank you to the staff at Oakview Place Personal Care Home for the special care and attention they gave to Olive over the last several years. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oakview Place Personal Care Home or a charity of one's choice.
