DYMETRO (JIM/MATT) STASIUK November 5, 1928 - April 13, 2016 It is with sadness and sorrow that the family announces the peaceful passing of Dymetro Stasiuk on April 13, 2016. He is survived by his children Steve Stasiuk (Barb), Betty Braun, Bill Stasiuk (Deb), Peter Stasiuk (Michelle), Doug Stasiuk, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, his sister Margaret Leitch, his brother Paul Stasiuk and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by Patricia Stasiuk and his daughter Barbara Goss. He will be fondly remembered for always donating dill buns to any and all family occasions including our Sandy Lake family reunion of over 200 people. His "Pappy Bread" was always a treat to his grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be missed, as he will. He had a passion for being outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and growing vegetables, especially potatoes for french fries. He moved to Winnipeg in 2015 to spend more time with his children and their families. A heartfelt thanks to Carol Ewasiuk for the years of friendship and companionship she gave to Dad. Thank you to Dr. Darcy Johnson for the down to earth care he supplied. Thank you to the staff of Concordia Hospital (third floor east) for their kindness and compassion while Dad was in their care. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway 1 East at Navin Road. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery (204) 222-3241 Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com
