GAIL ROY (nee GILBERTE BERARD) June 10, 1928 - April 15, 2016 Gail passed away suddenly on April 15, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Gail is survived by her daughter Lynne (Don) Connolly, son Denis (Kathy) Roy, and four grandchildren, Michelle (Jason), Mark (Serena), Colleen, Shannon, and great-grandson Evan. She is also survived by siblings, Roger, Tony, Charlie, and Emma. Gail is predeceased by her loving husband Rosario, parents Florestine and Euclide Berard and siblings Lionel, Lilianne, Paul, Mariette, Henry, Raymond, Aline, Armand, and Robert. Gail was born in St. Joseph, Manitoba. She lived most of her life in Windsor Park and in St. Boniface where she worked for many years at the St. Boniface hospital in the housekeeping department. Through her life she has been a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She is affectionately called memere. May her soul rest in peace and may she find her loving husband Rosario whom she lost so early in her life, so they can now plan the adventures they had always dreamed of. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on April 23, 2016 at Green Acres Funeral Home at No. 1 Highway East at Navin Road, Winnipeg. Thank you to staff at Tache Nursing home for taking care of her over the past four and one-half years. Flowers are gratefully declined but friends may make donations to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
