RONALD VAN DE WALLE 1943 - 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, Dad, Grandpa and brother on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at the age of 73 years. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years, Evelyn (nee Wood), their three children, Chris, Rhonda (Daryl) Katazinski and Jennifer (Bill) Haresnape; grandchildren Rylin, Denly, Chase and Kali, as well as brother Robert. Ron is now reunited with his parents, Johanna and Peter. Ron was born on March 21, 1943 in Holland, Manitoba. He was raised on the home farm near Cypress River, Manitoba. He spent his entire life on the family farm and wouldn't have had it any other way. Ron married the love of his life in 1965. While farming was his livelihood, welding and "make work projects" in the shop was what he really loved to do. His passions were the simple things life had to offer - spending time with family and friends; playing cards, especially Bien; hunting and fishing. Ron was also known to enjoy a visit or two at the casino. Ron viewed the world through the eyes of a child. He found excitement in each and every experience and only saw and spoke of the good in others. His next exciting experience would have been only days away... the birth of another grandchild, a girl. Gratitude is extended to the Southern Health and STARS Ambulance Services; to Dr. Desmond and staff at the Lorne Memorial Hospital; to Dr. Jacob and staff at the Victoria General Hospital ICU; and to Dr. Jong and staff at the MICU at the Health Sciences Centre for their expedient and compassionate care. Prayer's will be held in Willmor Chapel at Jamieson's Funeral Home Glenboro, on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place in the St. Alphonse Roman Catholic Church in St. Alphonse, Manitoba on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Father John Te Nguyen as celebrant. Interment will be held in the St. Alphonse Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Ron's memory to the St. Alphonse & District Foundation, Box 44, St. Alphonse, Manitoba, R0K 1Z0 or to a charity of ones choice.
