SHARON COMMODORE (nee PULLEN) November 17, 1944 - April 13, 2016 With heavy heart, I announce that my beautiful wife and loving mother to our children, has passed after a long hard journey with cancer on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. She leaves behind her husband of 54 years of marriage Wilfred Commodore Sr., her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jeffrey (Michelle), Hunter, Jordan, and Travis; (Alice), Susan and Jonathon; Susan (Ken), Ashley and Michael-Jay; Wilfred Jr. (Michelle), and Amanda; James; Sherrie-Anne (Kevin), Michelle, Georgia, Magnus, Alli, and Greg. Also, her loving and comfort companions Pidogso, Sara, Barney and many others, not to mention countless friends and family. We will miss the countless adventures we shared in the boat with her. Her in the front with her hair flying in the wind screaming, go faster Pops'; camping and fishing in Bakers Narrows and The Pas Manitoba with our kids for many years. Many hot, hot days especially when +35 outside, Mom would decide the walkway needed to be leveled and the rain gutters had to be cleaned by James. She could always be found outside tending to her many outstanding gardens for hours on end. Whether she was at home or on the go, Mom's bumbag' would always contain papers with jokes on it. She could always be seen trying to make somebody laugh. She also loved to cut recipes and quilting patterns from the newspaper. Mom had boxes of newspaper comics. I remember she would get a cup of tea and sit and read her comics for hours. She also loved the computer and chatting with her many friends on slingo and Facebook, etc., from all over the world. Even though Poppa hated shopping, Mom loved to drag Dad out to go shopping anywhere and everywhere even to Calgary just for coffee. When she was leaving the house, she would say "Don't forget the cheque book!" which Michelle also picked up. Granny would walk me (Michelle) to school and as we got to the hill on Henderson Highway, she would sing to me, "Up the hill, down the hill, across to the other side", both going to school and back home every day. Granny loved to volunteer at John Pritchard School for anything and everything; most kids just called her Granny, which she loved. In lieu of flowers and cards please make a donation to CancerCare. Let's beat Cancer once and for all. Thanks to Dr. Karen Lage, Tracey and staff for all they did for her. Thanks to Concordia Hospital staff on N3 like Sara and Tammy for always looking after Mom. Thank you to people at CancerCare and Palliative Care for what they do everyday. We will greatly miss her!! Life will not be the same without her. I long to hear the words, "That's my old Bastard". I will always love you. P.S. Black Forest cake makers will also be mourning Sharon because of a loss in revenue. Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I miss you always Auntie Sharon. That laugh you had was so contagious. I remember always wanting to hear you laugh. I remember the clothes you used to make me - the yellow jumpsuit that I loved and adored for as long as I could. One of my favourite pictures of you is when you were standing with my grandpa. I hope you are having some good laughs up there with grandma and uncle Ed. I’m sure one day I will hear your laugh again. Until then… - Posted by: Lisn (Niece ) on: Sep 06, 2022

  • Our sincere condolences to Wilf and the family. So sad to have lost Sharon, your Wife, Mother and Grandmother. It is said, it takes a special woman to live her life as mother and wife of an Auto Haulaway trucker. Sharon was such a person, taking on the responsibilities of homemaker and parent to the family. Sometimes life has its challenges, and she had her family at her side. Our prayers are with you all. - Posted by: Len and Evy Bialek (Co-worker at Auto Haulaway) on: May 09, 2016

  • Sharon and i shared wonderful memories on Mayfair Avenue, her Mom. Florence was a great cook and a close friend to my mother while they both enjoyed living and working in the Nightingale Nursing Home. Sharon was lovely and full of adventure, a real beauty in her teens. I enjoyed my facebook chats with her and will miss them. My condolences to the family. R I P Sharon. - Posted by: Elinor Stock ( Isbister ) (childhood friend) on: Apr 23, 2016

  • Wilfred and I were co-workers at Auto Haulaway and later Allied Systems, Sharon would often come to pickup her husband and would always be friendly to the other shop employees-a big heart despite many hardships in her life, my condolences to the Commodore family. - Posted by: Mike Cahill (Former co-worker of Wilfred) on: Apr 23, 2016
