DOROTHY KENDALL July 22, 1924 - April 21, 2016 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving mother Dorothy. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Wilhelm and Avilda Petterson, brother Bill, sisters-in-law, Kaye Petterson and Willetta (Val) Petterson, and daughter-in-law Ferne Kendall. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Ray, by her brother George Petterson and sisters-in-law, Helen Kendall and Marj Kendall. Mom has left us behind to celebrate, honour and continue her legacy. Her sons, Doug (Cathy), Ralph (Lorna); her grandsons, Kristopher (Kristy) and Gregory (Chantal); her jewels the great-grandchildren, Kaida, Thea, Ava, Scarlet and Kobe. Dot was born and lived in Starbuck for 85 years of her life, until her and Dad left the farmstead and moved permanently to Winnipeg in 2011. Mom loved her family dearly and always beamed when they were around. She had many friends and shared many good times with them. These stories and memories will keep us going. She lived life well to the age of 91 with her one love Ray. They were independent up to the end of her life, with her mind remaining remarkably strong. She was a wealth of knowledge to us all when it came to family history and events. Everyone came to her for the story on what happened and when. In accordance with Dorothy's wishes, cremation has taken place. A service will be held on Saturday, April 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. A private interment will be held with the immediate family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Starbuck United Church Memorial Fund or to a charity of your choice. She was loved by all. She will be missed by all. Rest in peace Dot. God bless. THOMSON "IN THE PARK" 204-925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com

They now could let their hair down, go curl&have lots of crazy laughs together.. a great time!! great curling mothers we had, a lot of great memories of their curling days, great to listen to. - Posted by: Larry and Linda Reinsch () on: Apr 28, 2016
