MARJORIE BARBARA KOLTALO WILLIAMSON
Born: Sep 03, 1938
Date of Passing: Apr 18, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARJORIE BARBARA KOLTALO WILLIAMSON (nee REBIZANT) September 3, 1938 - April 18, 2016 Peacefully, and after a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer, Marj died safe in the knowledge her family was near and loved her very much at Rock Lake Hospital in Crystal City, MB. She was predeceased by her parents Stephan and Anne Rebizant; first husband Peter in 1978; and all her brothers and sisters - Helen, Julian, Stella, Emily, Ted, and Lillian. Born in Melrose MB, she was raised in Cooks Creek and lived there until she went into Winnipeg to work for the Five Roses Flour Company. She met and married Peter Koltalo and raised four children, Joyce (Bill), Pam (Eric), Michael (Rosemary) and Beverley (Darrell). She was grandmother to Gordon, Ryan, Ashley, Landon, Julie, Kat, and Laure-Jane, and great-grandmother to Wyatt, Cheyenne and Xavier. Marj married Doug Williamson in 1989, moved to Rocanville, SK and eventually settled in Pilot Mound, MB. She and Doug spent a number of years snowbirding to Winter in Apache Junction, AZ. Marj was devoted to her family and the comment heard most about her was what a kind, caring person she was. She was a risk taker who enjoyed casino bus trips with her bingo buddies and playing the VLT's and navigating the freeways around Phoenix affectionately earning the nickname "Mama Andretti". She was a faithful Catholic and enjoyed many hours watching Sister Angelica on TV. She liked to knit and completed many wooly projects for her family over the years, making dozens of perogies and holopchi over her lifetime. You never left Grandma's house hungry! The last years of her life were difficult ones but the legacy left to her family was her unwavering strength of spirit and unending faith in the Creator - an example of true courage for us all! She will be sadly missed. The family wishes to thank the incredibly kind and compassionate staff at Rock Lake Hospital for their care and comfort during Mom's last days. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or any Pet Rescue Shelter. An angel returned to her heaven, much too soon for those still earthed A battle fought with shining strength - in death, a soul rebirths Her spirit, smile and body, caught within posterity Fit with wings, He calls for Her, and soon she will fly free Showered by her many treasures, received upon one's fate An unwavering will for life in death, exceeding Her title; Great. Our deepest sympathies to the Koltalo family. Mom and Aunty Marj shared a special bond and it was one of their proudest moments when they both graduated from their LPN training together in 1980. They spent many many happy hours talking to each other on the phone in the last few years and now they can all be together in their heavenly home watching over us, always with us. Thank you for all the happy memories Aunty Marj. - Posted by: Christine Fetterly (niece) on: May 03, 2016
