FLEURETTE CATHERINE CARON (nee BERNARDIN) 1931 - 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister and memere on Saturday, April 30, 2016. Born in Elie, Manitoba to Adonai and Angele (nee Dupuis) Bernardin. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Charles, daughters, Louise Gogal (Frank), Marie Trudeau (Guy), Denise Jackson (James), Lucie Hornby (Craig), sons, Marc Caron (Lavone) and Luc Caron (Aline), and all their children as well as several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Laurette Allard, Marthe Desilets, Yvonne Steiner (Charles), Idola Burns, Louis Bernardin (Maria) and their families. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers, George, Marcel, Raymond and Fernand, and her sisters, Denise Bernardin and Lucette Legault. Mom loved her garden, her tomatoes, knitting baby outfits and cooking. Her last years were difficult, due to her loss of independence and speech but she persevered. Her non-verbal communication was perfected in that we knew who was still the "Boss". The family would like to send their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Actionmarguerite-St. Vital (Foyer Valade) for taking such good care of Mom over the years. Funeral mass will take place on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with eulogy beginning at 10:45 a.m. at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 1007 St. Mary's Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Private interment will take place at a later date. Desjardins 204-233-4949 1-888-233-4949 www.desjardinsfuneralchapel.ca

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Fleurette and Charles lived 2 doors down from my family when I was growing up. I remember being a little girl going to go borrow flour or sugar. I remember how great her chocolate chip zucchini bread was and I believe I even still have the recipe. My dad David would always have pumpkin growing contests every year with her and would even plant them at the exact same second! It was always a fun competition. I will always have very fond memories of Fleurette and Charles as my neighbors while growing up. - Posted by: Stephanie Belanger (Neighbor) on: Jun 03, 2020

  • Our deepest sympathies to the Caron family. You have lost a special gem but God has gained an angel to watch over all of you! Hugs. - Posted by: Guy & Agathe Lacroix (Cousin with Luc and Marie Trudeau) on: May 04, 2016
