BETTE LANDKAMER (nee TAYLOR) 1917 - 2016 It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Bette Louise Landkamer announce the passing of our beloved at Maples Personal Care Home, on Saturday, April 30, 2016. Bette was born in Leith, Scotland on September 21, 1917, and immigrated to Canada with her mother at age seven, after her father's passing. Bette was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Landkamer, mother, Williamina (Mimi) Taylor, father, Robert Taylor, and family first cousins in Canada, Tom Morris, Gilbert Morris and Maisie Howell, and family in Scotland. Bette was an exceptionally beautiful person; heart of gold and a devoted wife to her wonderful husband Raymond for 58 years, until his passing last year. There is peace in knowing that Ray and Bette are together again; what an amazing life and love story that they had! They shared a truly special bond. Always special times at their beloved cottage at Grand Marais; bowling adventures and regular trips to Hawaii. Bette holds a very special place in our hearts for all of her kindness, love and generosity. She will always be lovingly remembered by the families of: cousin Norman Morris; second cousins Sharon Pantelidis, Diane Parchomchuk, Wendy Morris, Jimmy Morris, Andy Morris and Craig Morris. Memories we will hold so dearly to our heart; we adored her. Also left to cherish her memories are the families of Uncle Ray: nephew Ken Rogalski; great-niece and nephews Shannon Rogalski, Matthew Dryburgh, Andrew Dryburgh and Darren Rogalski. Also her family in Scotland; co-workers at Pioneer Grain where she worked for 30 years prior to retirement; and her wide circle of friends. You will be in our hearts forever Auntie Bette we love you so (Litsa, Tara and Christina)! The family would like to thank the staff of Maples Personal Care Home for their caring support for Auntie Bette over the last years of her life. A celebration of Bette's life will be held on Saturday, May 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, followed by a light lunch. Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery 204-338-7111
