DOROTHY MAY CLUPP (née TINCK) November 20, 1929 May 1, 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom Dorothy, who passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Sunday evening, at Grace Hospital. Mom was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Edward, in 2007 and just recently by her sister Margaret and nephew Gary. Left to forever remember her are her children Kenneth (Angie), Calvin (Brenda), Andrea, and Sheldon (Joanne), grandchildren Melissa (Gary), Erin, Michael, Steven, Sean, Natasha (Matt) and Travis (Jasmine) and great-grandchildren Gabe, Noah and Valerie. Also left to remember her are sisters Lois and Linda (Rick) as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. In her last days, Dorothy was able to visit with many of her family and friends in the hospital. She was especially happy to have Cal, Ken and Angie home to be at her side. Mom loved to travel and she and Dad visited practically everywhere in Canada, almost every US state, much of Europe (3 trips), a trip to Morocco in Africa and countless vacation spots (3 ocean cruises). They belonged to Winnipeg Wandering Wheels and spent every summer travelling in their motor home. Mom loved planning for their vacations and would spend countless hours perusing maps and travel brochures. One of her greatest regrets in the last few years was not being healthy enough to travel, especially out east to visit her two eldest sons and their families one last time. She always enjoyed a game of cards or Scrabble and always looked forward to her Wednesday afternoon card game with her lady friends and daughter Andrea. She also missed her Saturday morning shopping days with her dearest friend Jessie. Mom loved listening to music she and Ed would listen to Lawrence Welk every week and she always enjoyed her special programs on PBS. She also enjoyed the WSO, RWB and theatre. Mom and Dad had all their children in the IOF Majorettes and Band. There were few summer parades in Winnipeg that the Clupp family did not participate in during those years. Dorothy will be buried in the Chapel Lawn cemetery alongside her beloved husband Ed. A service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue, followed by interment, and a celebration of life at the Army, Navy and Air Force (ANAVETS), 3584 Portage Avenue. The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Hospital for their care and compassion and for letting so many of us crowd together with her in the room all day. We would also like to thank her home care staff for all the care this past year. In lieu of flowers, a gift to the Parkinson's Society or Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
