He passed peacefully with his family by his side. He was a beloved husband to Irene Little (née Tomkins); dear brother to Ivy Hicks (Clark); proud father to Lorraine Walld (Jim), Debbie Hamlin and Bob Little and father-in-law to Dave Hamlin; loving grandfather to Jennifer Walld (Scott Ogonoski), Angela Hearn (Brian), Eric Walld, Alexandra Walld (Drew Kozub), Brianna Hamlin (Burke Scurfield), Cole Hamlin, Rachel Hamlin, Brett Little, Cassie Little, and Brady Little; doting great-grandfather to Cara and Adelyn Hearn. He was a loving uncle to Kelly Hicks and Shawna Pearman and their families. Brandon taught us the importance of family and the worth in doing a job right the first time. Brandon was a gifted pianist from an extremely early age and later on in life learned to play the pipe organ. Once retired, he regularly entertained the residents of West Park Manor, Thorvaldson Care Home and Lions Manor Personal Care Homes. It wasn't unusual for him to be out performing three or more times a week. He spent his entire career in the insurance industry starting out at Gore Mutual Insurance Co. as a fieldman, advancing to Branch Manager for the Lakehead and Prairie region. When the Winnipeg office closed, he briefly moved to Gore's Head Office in Cambridge, ON, returning home to Winnipeg for family reasons. He ended his working career operating his own business, Wallace Little Insurance Agencies, until retirement. Brandon was a lifetime member of Crescent Fort Rouge United Church, serving in various capacities. He was a Shriner and a Free Mason belonging to Beaver Ionic Lodge of Manitoba. A celebration of Brandon's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10 at Crescent Fort Rouge United Church, corner of Wardlaw and Nassau. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at West Park Manor. Donations in memory of Brandon may be made to support entertainment for the residents at West Park Manor, 3199 Grant Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3R 3R1. On behalf of the Welsh family, please know that our thoughts are with you. Brandon and my dad, John, worked together at the Gore, and were both members of Beaver Lodge, and were good friends for many years. - Posted by: Judy Kosloski () on: May 09, 2016
