Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLIE ROSS JONES 1933 - 2016 Leslie (Ross) Jones passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on May 4, 2016 at St. Boniface Hospital, where he was born September 23, 1933. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Corinne (Irwin); sons Craig (Allyson, Alanah and Caitlyn) and Trent (Cynthia, Lucy, Aidan and Cooper); daughters Heather (Doug Sharpe, Tessa, Lindsay and Dylaney) and Nada (Thor Hansell, Jocelyn, Gillian and Thomas); his sister Barbara (Ray Rotor) of London, ON and their family; his brother Norman's widow Vera Jones of Vancouver and their family. Ross loved and excelled at most sports. He played hockey for the Brandon Wheat Kings and was a scoring champion. He played golf at St. Boniface and Transcona for many years. He enjoyed 26 years of going south for winter golf. When Corinne retired, they spent the next 13 winters in San Antonio, Texas where they made many new friends. Ross worked at Air Canada for 29 years. He enjoyed all the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren and dearly loved his own children and their spouses. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation. My condolences to all of you on the passing of Mr. Jones. I have many fond memories of playing with Nada in your backyard on Borebank or in the lane that connected our houses as well as many hours at the River Heights Community Centre or Sargent Park speed skating.
