MARCIA NOREEN WESA (ROWE) December 9, 1933 - May 5, 2016 Wanting to be here another day, but too weary to stay, on the morning of May 5, 2016, Mom passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord. She leaves a legacy of love: daughters Debbie, Cindy, Shelley and Melanie; sons Brian and Ed; daughter-in-law Geri; 10 grandchildren: Corrine, Patrick, Mirandy, Wade, Kristin, Jared, Jamie, Curt, Desirae and TJ; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; sister Mabel; brothers Gerald and Lyle; and many family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Wendy; parents Zelpha and Art; brothers Ted and Doug; sisters-in-law, Nina and Jo-Anne; and other family and friends. Mom was born in Vita, MB in 1933. Years later, the family moved to Elm Creek, MB which is where she lived until a move to Fort Whyte, MB. As a young woman, Mom moved to Fort Garry in Winnipeg where she married and started her own family; the proud mother of seven children. Mom loved to be busy and was always on the go - to bingo, craft class, exercise class, road trips, coffee or lunch with friends. For years, she was a volunteer knitter for the Warm Hands Program' of the Red Cross. Mom was an amazing cook and baker and blessed with so many talents. Her hobbies and interests were endless but included knitting, crocheting, sewing, cross-stitch, ceramics, flower arranging, painting, doll-making, puzzles and reading (to name a few). By far, her greatest joy was her family. Mom was a constant presence in her children's lives, cherishing her role as a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She adored her large family and spending time with everyone warmed her heart. She will always be remembered by everyone that knew her as a feisty, generous, caring, loyal woman who cared unconditionally and gave without question. A Celebration of Mom's Life will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Special thanks to our aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, as well as Concordia Hospital and Middlechurch Care Home who supported us and gave love to Mom during her illness. When tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, For every time you think of me, I'm right there in your heart. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 204-885-9715
