Saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Pattle. He was my home room teacher in Gr. 11 and geography teacher in Grades 11 and 12. Witty, engaging and kind ...he made a difference. In this most difficult time, I hope his family takes some solace in the fact he is remembered fondly by former students. - Posted by: J.Bell (Former REC student) on: May 13, 2016

I graduated from REC 34 years ago and was in Mr. Pattle's class 35 years ago as a grade 11 student. It is not the geography I remember (although he taught it well) it is the teacher I remember who was a calming force in the classroom. Mr. Pattle's sense of humour combined with his guidance and strength made students feel like it was their class and their education, he was there to facilitate knowledge. He was an old school teacher with new school charisma and charm! Mr Pattle, you have earned your right to be at the head of the class, your knowledge of geography means you have found your way to heaven! - Posted by: Markus Chambers (former student ) on: May 12, 2016
