Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE PAWLUK (KOROLYK) February 4, 1922 - May 7, 2016 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Rose, our Mom, Gramma and Baba, on Saturday, May 7, 2016. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ron (Marlene), Linda, Barry (Maggie) and Peggy (Dennis); grandchildren, Shannon (Jeremy), Pam (Graham), Chris (Erin), Sherese (Justin), Lisa (Connor), Tracey, Mathew (Pam), Amber and Coral; great-grandchildren, Ava, Ella, Cali, Carter, Maya, Grayson, Preston, Hudson, Lexie, Mackenzie, Aniston, Taylor and Zachary; great-great-grandchild Zayne, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends, Helen and Darlene. Rose was predeceased by her husband Michael and infant daughter Cathy; parents, Mary and William; sister Stella; and brother Walter. Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg Beach, Manitoba. She met and later married her lifelong partner, Mike, on October 20, 1945. They later moved to Winnipeg, where together they owned and operated the Press Grill Restaurant. Mom and Dad then moved to Petersfield in 1947, where they began farming. Mom spent her days there raising children and helping on the farm. Mom's greatest joy was her grandchildren, who spent countless weekends at the farm. Mom and Dad loved to travel every chance they got, which included visiting nearly every state in the U.S.A. In January 2001, after 41 years of farming, Mom and Dad moved to Selkirk, where Mom lived on her own in her apartment until her final days. The family would like to offer their sincere thanks to the wonderful and caring medical staff at Selkirk General Hospital. Pallbearers are Chris Girling, Mathew Penny, Graham Burnett, Jeremy Gerbrandt, Connor Mowat and Randy Dola. Funeral service will be held at Gilbart Funeral Home in Selkirk, MB, on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow the reception in the St. Williams Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. VICHNAYA PAM'YAT Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

I'm so very sorry to hear of Auntie Rose's passing. Auntie Rose was always a joy to go have coffee with. I tried to visit as often as I could, looking forward to each and every visit. She was always so very proud of all her family and had an excellent memory in filling me in on who's do what, where, and how everyone was. I love her Dearly and I am so sorry I received the news of her passing just recently.
