ANNE ERKELENS On Thursday, May 5, 2016 with her family at her side, Mom slipped away releasing her spirit to return home and be reunited with her husband Ralph whom she missed since his passing. She is survived by her daughter Alison Yarmill (Brian). Anne was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on December 26, 1919. She worked as a store clerk until she joined the WAAF in 1941. Through family, she met a Canadian soldier who became the love of her life. Cremation has taken place and at Anne's request, there will be no service. The family would like to thank the staff on GA4 at Health Sciences Centre for their compassion and care of Anne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the CNIB.
