ERNEST (ERNIE) SIDNEY MELVIN SUMMERS June 13, 1934 - May 13, 2016 With heavy hearts and deepest sadness we announce the passing of Ernie Summers at Boundary Trails Hospital, at the age of 81 years. Ernie was the best friend, soul mate and husband of 60 years to Shirley. Ernie was the father of three children; daughter Terry (Cheryl), son Murray (Christina), and son Mark and grandfather to Jay, Jacob, and Mason. Ernie grew up at Kenosee Lake, SK. He was in the trucking industry for more than 45 years in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba, retiring from Kleysen Transport. They moved to Carman, Manitoba in 2002 to retire; playing golf, spending winters in Arizona, and enjoying time spent with family and friends. We welcome friends to share in a casual gathering to celebrate his life on Saturday May 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Doyle's Funeral Home, Carman Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carman or Boundary Trails Hospital Palliative care unit, or a charity of your choice.
