IRENE AUDREY DELMAGE Irene Audrey Delmage passed away comfortably and in the presence of her family Thursday, May 19, 2016 from natural causes. Irene was born in Rossburn, Manitoba May 24, 1937 and moved to Winnipeg in her late teens. She worked many years for Canada Wire (which later became Alcatel) before retirement. In her later years she was very active, attending the Reh-Fit most days, assisting with weddings at Oxford United Church, tending to her lawn and garden, babysitting and knitting. In 2007 Irene suffered a devastating stroke, and was moved to Heritage Lodge Long Term Care Home, where she was well-liked, and well-taken care of by the entire staff. Many thanks to everyone at Heritage Lodge, as well as her friends who continued to visit her on a regular basis. She will always be known for her willingness to help anyone at any time, her strong will and endearing stubbornness. Irene leaves her brother Melvin (Marion) Barnesky and her three sisters, Christina (Jerry) Rauscher, Adele (Mike) Monchka, and Oriole Pannebaker; as well as six nephews; one niece; four great-nephews and three great-nieces. She also leaves her adored son Tyler, daughter-in-law Tara and granddaughter Hannah. Irene was predeceased by her beloved husband Fred. The funeral service will be at Thomson in the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd, Thursday May 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., with a reception to follow.
