He also leaves to mourn his wife of 64 years, Audrey; children, Stephanie (Sandy), Greg (Lucille) and Jill (Richard), nine grandsons, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ken was born to Elliott and Jennie McTaggart in Crystal City, MB, on January 3, 1930. Ken was a hard worker. As a lad / young man, he delivered groceries, did dray work, worked in a garage and as an electrician helper. He found his career in the grain business. He was a Grain Elevator Manager in Lena, Lyleton and Killarney. Working for Manitoba Pool Elevators, he was appointed to Travelling Superintendent, in Russell, MB. In 1970, he became Divisional Superintendent. In 1980, he became Manager of Country Operations. In 1985, he was appointed Corporate Manager of Operations. Ken continuously sought improvement, graduating from his final business courses at the age of 55. His interest were many: playing hard ball, hockey, master checker player, playing in a band, teaching Sunday School and Toastmasters - forming a club and entering speech competitions. In retirement, Ken played golf, curled and meticulously cared for his yard. We would like to thank all workers, friends and neighbours who took care of him when times were tough.
